Located just south of Spokane, in Washington state, The Palouse is a rich farming area of some 4,000 square miles. It is somewhat reminiscent of Tuscany, in Italy, except instead of vineyards the main crop here is wheat and rapeseed (Canola). What drew me to this area as you can see is the rich vibrant greens through out the vast rolling hills. I photographed this image right before sunset, to capture the light raking across the hills. It was such a gorgeous sight to see and I can't wait to come back and spend more time in this part of Washington.
